Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky visited the Lublin diocese of the Polish Orthodox Church with the blessing of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Onuphry, from October 28 to 30, 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhyn diocese.

During the visit, Metropolitan Clement met with numerous Ukrainian refugees – our fellow citizens, who were compelled to leave their own homes and find temporary refuge in Poland, fleeing the dangers of war.

Vladyka became acquainted with the social activities of the Diocese of Lublin of the Polish Orthodox Church aimed at supporting those affected by the hostilities in Ukraine.

He expressed sincere gratitude to Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chełm for his constant humanitarian assistance and support to the citizens of Ukraine during this difficult time.

On the 20th week after Pentecost, Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky led the celebration in honor of the Lublin miracle-working Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is located in the ancient Savior Transfiguration Cathedral in Lublin, built by Metropolitan Petro (Mohyla).

Before the miraculous image of the Mother of God, the Archpastor offered prayers for peace in Ukraine and for God's blessing for the long-suffering Ukrainian people.
