Eustratiy Zoria said that there will be more than one or two monks who want to join the "lavra" of the OCU.

The spokesperson for the OCU Eustratiy Zoria said on the air of the "Hour with Sonya Koshkina" program on Radio Ukraine that if the temples and premises of the Upper Lavra are transferred to the OCU, the monks of the Kyiv-Pechersk Monastery will certainly move to the newly created OCU monastery.

"The brethren will be when there will be appropriate premises to accommodate them. So far, such premises, as well as the provision of a temple, are not in question. <...> we are waiting for an answer from the state," Zoria said.

Also, the OCU spokesperson noted that the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra will move to the monastery of Dumenko’s supporters only of their own free will, no one will force them to do so.

"We are in favour of people having the choice of going to the Ukrainian lavra or to the pro-Moscow part of it to pray for God," he said.

"We are convinced that there will be more than one or two monks who are part of the pro-Russian lavra but want to go to the Ukrainian lavra," Eustratiy Zoria added.

As earlier reported, Dumenko asked the Prime Minister to transfer one of the temples of the upper part of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra to the OCU.
