Ukraine to restore state-owned churches of UOC
Most of the churches that are damaged or destroyed are UOC churches, the head of the Ministry of Culture noted.
Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Alexandr Tkachenko in an interview with the "UNIAN" TV channel said that in Ukraine the destroyed state-owned churches of the UOC will be restored.
According to him, Ukraine is starting work on the restoration of cultural objects, including temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
"Most of the churches that are damaged or destroyed are UOC churches. And there are also many destroyed monuments dedicated to the Second World War. The question is how we will counteract aggression. It is to restore cultural objects," noted Tkachenko.
To the presenter's question about whether all monuments will be restored in Ukraine, regardless of whether they are UOC churches or other monuments, the head of the Ministry of Culture answered in the affirmative.
As reported, the All Saints Skete of Sviatogorsk Lavra caught fire from shelling.
