In 2022, the historic Kharkiv Bishops' Council, at which the hierarchs defended the canonicity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, will turn 30 years.

The Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church decided to hold commemorative events in 2022 on the 30th anniversary of the Kharkiv Bishops' Council, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

A regular meeting of the Synod of the UOC chaired by the Primate of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine was held on November 16, 2021, in a remote format.

The UOJ wrote that on the 25th anniversary of the Kharkiv Council, the Holy Synod of the UOC noted the courage of the hierarchs who preserved canonical Orthodoxy in Ukraine.
