Metropolitan Hilarion was presented with the highest award of the Polish Orthodox Church – the Order of St. Mary Magdalene Equal to the Apostles, 1st degree.

On October 10, during the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the creation of the Donetsk Eparchy of the UOC at the Sviatogorsk Lavra, Archbishop Paisjusz of Przemyśl and Gorlice conveyed best regards from the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Sava, and expressed support on behalf of the clergy of the Polish Church to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, reports news.church.ua.

“We are always with you, you are ours. We always try to support you with words and prayers,” said Archbishop Paisjusz.

As the UOJ previously reported, the Primate of the Polish Church awarded Metropolitan Hilarion with the Order.
