Crosses for the domes of a new church, which is being constructed in Bashuki instead of the one seized 3 years ago by UOC-KP supporters, have already been consecrated.

On February 4, 2020, in the village of Bashuki, Ternopil region, the clergy of the UOC consecrated crosses for the domes of the new Church of the Holy Archangel Michael of God, which is being constructed in Bashuki instead of the one seized by UOC-KP supporters in 2015, reports the “1Kozak” channel on Facebook.

The consecration was led by Metropolitan Sergius (Gensitsky) of Ternopil and Kremenets, who laid the cornerstone in the foundation of the new church on October 20, 2019.

“Members of the community personally did excavation work on the foundation. And today, the domes were consecrated and raised in the new church!” “1Kozak” reporters commented on the event.

We recall that in 2015, supporters of the UOC-KP seized the temple of the canonical Church in the village of Bashuki. The struggle for the temple, in which representatives of the regional authorities took an active part, lasted for 2 years. They were not afraid to use even fraud with the state registry and forgery of documents.

On November 21, 2017, Bishop Sergius blessed the land for the construction of a new church, but only in 2018, the parishioners of the UOC manage to re-register their community. On October 20, 2018, members of the religious community of the canonical Church began construction aided by the “Favor” charity foundation.
